A 13-YEAR-OLD girl has spoken about her potentially life-threatening addiction to sunbeds - dubbed Tanorexia.

Schoolgirl Hayley Barrow, from Liverpool, visits tanning parlours five times a week, saying she looks "transparent" without daily doses.

And her mother is desperate to stop her after doctors told Hayley she could die if she doesn't kick the habit.

Orange-skinned Hayley said: "When I came back from holiday with a tan everyone said I looked good.

"So last year I started using a lot of fake tan but that made me look orange.

"Then I discovered sunbeds. Now I like them so much that if I haven't gone on one for a day or so I feel white, transparent or something.

"Sometimes I have spots in front of my eyes and one time I almost collapsed."

Hayley's mother Anne, 39, said her daughter would do anything to get the money to pay for the sunning sessions.

She said: "Nothing I say has any influence.

"I am thinking of taking her to a child psychologist."
