Meningitis Hotline was started by Dr. Terry Polevoy in 1997, when a major outbreak of MM took two lives and injured many others in the Kitchener-Waterloo area of Southwestern Ontario.

Meningitis hotline is a major resource for news of the most deadly form of meningitis, meningococcal meningitis (MM). It can strike anywhere, at anytime, and can devastate a family, or a community.
