The Sun Magic Tanning Spas Inc., a Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario based tanning group recently sponsored ads in several area publications. The first is the KW Coupon Clipper, where they usually occupy the back cover. In the issue that was stuffed into my mailbox by some poor unfortunate member of society, their ad filled a whole page with garbage about the good things about the sun.

They used the logo of a company known as California Tan. That company is based in the United States, and had just had major action taken against it by the Federal Trade Commission. Sunbeam Residential Treatment Center uses Sun Magic coupons to raise money

I was at a friends house over the weekend, who had bought a coupon fund raising booklet from the Dollars and $ense group based in Kitchener. Here are their ads for your review.

Note the slick insertion of medical references into this ad. It gives the people burning a sense that it's o.k. It also gives the company the status of a medical facility.
Again using the California Tan ad, but this time no logo is visible. There were 6 coupons in this fund raising booklet for The Rainbow Residential treatment facility in Kitchener
